Edit single contact's property in contact's profile

Being able to edit the property of a single contact is common sense. But you cannot. To change property must add contact email address etc, again, and then disable the existing. Plenty of reasons the property might need to be changed. Can change other items in a contact's profile, but not property. Oversight?
